Dedicated to Dance

At KODA, we celebrate ambition and individuality by creating a nurturing space where students can grow personally and express themselves freely. Our safe and supportive environment promotes both physical and emotional well-being, helping each dancer thrive.

KODA is more than just a dance school — it's a community where students build confidence, form lifelong friendships, and feel a true sense of belonging.

Message from Kathleen

Principal

Dance has been a constant source of joy, freedom, and self-expression for me since I was young. As I grew, my passion for the art form deepened, and I fell in love with both the discipline and the transformative power of dance.

I found my true calling in teaching.

For young children, my goal is to spark a lifelong love of movement, helping them discover the pure joy and freedom that dance brings.

For young dancers, I’m dedicated to guiding their growth, helping them refine their technique, and for adults, I aim to create a welcoming, supportive space where they can rediscover their passion for dance and continue to grow, no matter where they are on their journey.

“We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once.”

Friedrich Nietzsche

  • Do I need previous experience?
No, experienced teachers will provide guidance and modifications when required in classes and workshops
  • Do you accept Active kids vouchers?
Yes, we accept the Active kids vouchers.
  • What do I wear to class?
Students are encouraged to wear clothing they can move in for safe dance purposes. It is important that students feel comfortable in what they are wearing too! Students are welcome to wear ballet attire for all class styles: Leotard Skirt Theatrical pink tights Other good options Shirt Shorts/bike shorts Leggings/tights Tan jazz stockings with shorts for Jazz and Contemporary SHOES: Contemporary: Bare feet or foot undies Ballet: Leather or canvas ballet shoes with elastics (White or black for boys) Jazz: Tan coloured jazz shoes All dance shoes must have a snug fit. While it’s tempting to buy shoes with room to grow, loose fitting shoes can be a problem, as the extra length or width may trip your child or cause pain and blisters. Hairstyles: Hair must be neat and away from your face.
  • What dance styles are there?
Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz for 2 year olds to adults
